Don't Ya Just Wish
Don’t Ya Just Wish?

With iPods and tripods
Gigabits and sound bites
Don’t ya just wish
You could listen
To the waves splashing on your toes
And the wind brushing your hair.
With deadlines and schedules
Fast pace and multiple tasks
Don’t ya just wish
You could sit
On a lily pad warmed by the sun
Or nestled under a shade tree.
With lists and chores
Places to go and people to see
Don’t ya just wish
You could stop for a moment
To sit back in your chair
And read the whole Sunday paper.
